| sensor will help somewhat with the lower octane. But if you drive with a gentle pedal the 89 will be OK. The non E will help keep things from getting worse. I have been running my 92 NA on mid grade E 10 with no issues but I did replace all 6 injectors with the upgraded design using the 300 Degree fuel rail and I add Stable to the gas each tank. Will you do the injector work replace? Note that the connectors and the immediate portion of the lead wire have a tendency to corrode with the green stuff. So it would be good maintenance to pull the connectors and see if there is corrosion. Then clean as needed and use dielectric grease in the connector to aid in future corrosion. From my upgrade I believe have 3 or 4 old style NA injectors that I probably will ohm good and I will gift them incl shipping to you so you can replace them as needed and to help with your collage expenses. I remember my collage days when money was tight. I will dig them up and see if they are OK and let you know the condition. You will need to get new o-rings. PM me your address.
